Just three little words and they had the power to destroy everything. She couldn’t tell him anything without fearing that she would trigger the end of the world. Refusing to meet his eyes, she smiled back and discreetly wiped away a few of her stray tears. “But we always trust each other,” Ladybug said. We keep secrets and… sometimes we have to lie,” he continued. “We can’t be completely honest with each other. “You know the difference between us and the rest of the world, Ladybug?” Chat said, interrupting their crushing silence. There were a few more moments of listening to nothing but the mocking sounds of mother nature. Undoing her pigtails-he handed her the red hair ties-and gently ran his sharp claws through her dark hair. He wordlessly shifted so that she could settle in comfortably before patting her head softly. Of course, she made sure to angle her face away from his line of sight. Her body instinctively curved into his and she leaned her head against his shoulder, before deciding to rest her head in his lap. If Adrien was her sunshine after a rainy day, then Chat was her whole world after a bad one. Even if she refused to acknowledge them, the feelings were still there. Messy blonde hair, cat-like eyes, and a crooked grin flashed through her mind. She had told him from the beginning because she had known from the beginning. She had made herself very clear from the start. He had been a nice break from all the chaos that followed her at every turn. Ladybug stared off into the distance, in a futile effort to keep Chat from noticing the silent tears that were traitorously dripping down her flushed cheeks.
